SUMMARY

By letter dated October 10, 2018, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18285A451), TN Americas LLC requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 9255 for the Model No. NUHOMS MP187 multi-purpose cask. TN Americas LLC did not request any changes to the package design, or operating procedures, acceptance tests and maintenance program of the package. The Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Package No. 0250, Revision No. 22, was issued by NRC on December 13, 2016 (ADAMS ML16348A130). The certificate has been renewed for an additional five-year period.

EVALUATION By letter dated October 10, 2018, TN Americas LLC requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 9255 for the Model No. NUHOMS MP187 multi-purpose cask. TN Americas LLC did not request any changes to the package design, or operating procedures, acceptance tests and maintenance program of the package. The staff reviewed the package application dated August 4, 2003 (ADAMS ML032680987), as supplemented on September 16, 2008 (ADAMS ML082630575), July 26, 2013 (ADAMS ML13212A205), January 27, 2014 (ADAMS ML14030A373), November 18, 2016 (ADAMS ML16327A011), and October 10, 2018, in support of the renewal request and determined that the documentation was available and complete.

CONDITIONS The following change has been made to the certificate of compliance:

Condition No. 11 was revised to authorize use of Revision 13 until November 30, 2019.

Condition No. 12 of the certificate reflects the new expiration date of November 30, 2023.

The references section has been updated to include this renewal request.

Enclosure 2

CONCLUSION The certificate has been renewed for a five-year term. These changes do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulation (10 CFR)
