November 21, 2018 Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Unit 2 & Unit 3 - Initial Information Request (Part 1) for the Upcoming Phase IV License Renewal Inspection Inspection Procedure: IP 71003, Post-Approval Site Inspection for License Renewal (Phase IV)

Inspection Dates: February 18 - 22, 2019 (in office prep)

February 25 - March 1, 2019 (on-site)

Inspection Report: 05000237/2019010 ; 05000249/2019010 Lead Inspector: Jorge Corujo-Sandin (Lead), Reactor Inspector Please provide the information requested below to the NRC Region III Office in care of the lead inspector by Thursday December 20, 2018, in order to facilitate the selection of specific AMPs, structures, and components that will be reviewed during the onsite inspection week. The information can be provided in hard copy or electronic format; however, electronic format is preferred, via digital data storage device (i.e. DVDs/CDs)

Using the information requested below, the inspector(s) will select a sample of AMPs for review.

As per the telephone conversation between Mr. Corujo-Sandin and Licensing Department representative, Mr. Walker on 11/21/18 the lead inspector will provide additional information requests, related to this inspection at a later date. This partial information request is provided early to maximize time available to the licensee to gather the requested information.

Information Requested to Facilitate Aging Management Program (AMP) Sample Selection (1) Provide list of AMPs that were new or enhanced in the License Renewal Application (LRA)

(2) Provide list of AMPs that have had significant changes since entering the period of extended operation (PEO)

(3) Provide list of AMPs that had commitment changes since entering the PEO.

(4) Provide list of AMPs that have incorporated newly identified SSCs since entering the PEO ADAMS Accession Number: ML18330A238

2 (5) Provide list of AMPs that have incorporated components from One-Time Inspection activities since entering the PEO.

(6) Provide any self-assessments and/or audits related to license renewal program implementation and/or AMP effectiveness.

(7) Provide a list of corrective action documents that were initiated as result of license renewal activities, self-assessments, and/or audits.

(8) Electronic copies of Updated Final Safety Analysis Report, Technical Specifications, Technical Specifications Bases, and Technical Requirements Manual.

(9) Site-specific responses and/or evaluations for NRC generic communications associated with license renewal that were issued after entering the PEO (10) Risk-ranking of top 250 basic events from your internal events site specific probabilistic safety analysis (PSA) sorted by Birnbaum Importance, Risk-Reduction Worth, Risk-Achievement Worth, and Fussell-Veseley (as applicable). (Provide in Excel format)

(11) Provide a list of the top 200 cut-sets from your internal events PSA, including descriptors for the associated basic events. (Provide in Excel format)

(12) Provide a list of the top 100 cut-sets for each initiator modeled in the PSA that contributes more than 5 percent to the baseline plant core damage frequency. (Provide in Excel format)
