406 Glendale Dr Henrico, VA, 23229 Email: veggielady@yahoo.com General Comment NRC-2016-0231 I am opposed to this ill thought out plan of interim consolidated storage to deal with highly radioactive reactor waste.
Due to risks of radioactive contamination from leaks or accidents or potential terrorist actions, nuclear waste should only be moved once, and only when a deep underground permanent repository is in place that could safely isolate the dangerous waste for the million years.
This scheme is simply an illusion of a solution to highly radioactive waste and is unacceptable!
