By correspondence dated June 21, 2018 (Accession No. ML18172A068), FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) requested five separate alternatives to certain requirements associated with the fourth ten-year in-service testing program interval for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.
By electronic mail dated October 2, 2018, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) provided a request for additional information (RAI) to complete its review of alternative request PR-2. FENOC's response to the RAI is provided in Attachment 1.

Clarify whether the Group A test Required Action Range high values will be changed from >1.10 times reference value to >1.06 times reference value to satisfy the condition in RG [Regulatory Guide] 1.192, Revision 2, or provide justification for not adjusting the Required Action Range high values.
Response
The Group A test Required Action Range high values will remain at >1.06 times the reference value to satisfy the condition in RG 1.192, Revision 2 in the transition from the third 10-Year In-Service Testing interval to the fourth 10-Year In-Service Testing interval.
