[External_Sender] Docket ID NRC-2016-0231 Interim storage will likely be forever. Once the stuff is on site, no one else wants it, thats for sure! But storing our nations immensely radioactive waste above ground could destroy our nation. Above ground high level waste storage is a very tempting terrorist target and could allow massive radiation to escape from many types of attacks. The Nuclear Waste Policy Act requires permanent underground storage, such as Finland is wisely doing. After 500 years of storage, spent fuel is still so radioactive that it would take one days exposure to provide a radiation workers 5 year limit and 100 days to acquire a fatal dose. That information is from Finlands Posiva, the corporation working on safely disposing of Finnish spent fuel.

Do not allow this dangerous interim storage idea. It is dangerous, and expensive, to transport the spent fuel to the interim storage site and incredibly dangerous to store spent fuel there indefinitely.
