[External_Sender] Docket ID NRC-2016-0231 Docket ID NRC-2016-0231 To whom it may concern, I am writing to oppose the Waste Control Specialists (WCS) "temporary" radioactive waste dump proposed in West Texas. The location is upstream of the Ogallala Aquifer, and it is impossible to be confident that the waste will not leak, especially since the EPA has acknowledged that commercial irradiated nuclear fuel remains hazardous for a million years (and other scientists say this is a low estimate). Additionally, the communities around the site are low-income, and our country already has an infuriating history of inadvertently poisoning and even killing people who don't have many resources, and especially people of color, by making environmental decisions that don't adequately consider public health.
