NRC Comments - September 24, 2018 Fire PRA FAQ 18-0018:
- 1) The data categories in the FAQ are labeled as before and after 2000. Which category does the data from the year of 2000 fit into?
- 2) The staff believes that the Bayesian method should match that described in NUREG-2169 and referenced in An Improved Methodological Approach for Estimating Fire Ignition Frequencies, EPRI, Palo Alto, CA: 2011. 1022994
- 3) Since an approved technique different from NUREG-2169 would require all NSP values to be reevaluated, please respond to questions 1 and 2 for all NSP bins.
