Enclosed is an application (XSNM3798), dated September 21, 2018, received by the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission, from Edlow International Company as an Agent for NNSA Y-12 National Security Complex. The application requests the export of low-enriched uranium to SCK-CEN in Belgium for research and development at the BR-2 Research Reactor.
Assurances from EURA TOM that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of respective agreements for cooperation, are required. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
Please note that the applicant has requested an expedited review of this export license application in order to ship the material to Belgium by the middle of November 2018, to support its customer's needs.
