NOC-AE-18003595 Page 2 of 3 This letter is to inform the NRC that the STP ISFSI is in compliance with the additional security measures required by the Order in Reference 1, EA-14-190. STPNOC currently plans to begin storing spent fuel in HI-STORM FW Dry Cask Storage System on or approximately January 14, 2019. This notification is required at least 90-days prior to the first storage of spent fuel in dry casks under the STPNOC ISFSI general license.
As directed by Order EA-14-190, Reference 1, STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) submitted a twenty-day response consenting to the Order, in Reference 2. By References 3 and 5, STPNOC submitted to the NRC requests for date extensions to be in compliance with Reference 1, and in References 4 and 6, the NRC granted the requested extensions.
STP submitted Revision 23 of the STP physical security plan to the NRC on July 18, 2018, which contains the ISFSI security enhancements.
There are no commitments in this letter.
