DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 - ANALYSIS OF 2017 DECOMMISSIONING FUNDING STATUS REPORT
Dear Mr. Gebbie:
By letter dated March 21, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17081A443), as supplemented by letter dated August 9, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18225A067), Indiana Michigan Power Company (l&M, the licensee) submitted its biennial decommissioning funding status report for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP), Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed your 2017 decommissioning funding status report. Based on this information, the NRC staff has determined that you have satisfied the decommissioning funding assurance reporting requirements and have provided decommissioning funding assurance, as required in the regulations at Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 50.75, for CNP.
