SUMMARY
OF PUBLIC MEETING WITH THE BOILING WATER REACTOR OWNERS GROUP EXECUTIVE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE On July 26, 2018, management of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) met with representatives of the Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) Owners Group (BWROG) Executive Oversight Committee in a public meeting at NRC headquarters. The purpose of the meeting was for NRC and BWROG managers to discuss current BWR issues of interest at a high level. The BWROG made presentations on the following topics:
- Licensing Committee Update Joint Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF) activities with the Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) Licensing Committee Industry implementation of TSTF -542, Reactor Pressure Vessel Water Inventory Control TSTF Travelers currently under NRC review (TSTF-505, -563, -564, -565, -566)
- 10 CFR (Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations] 50.69 Working Group Committee Implementation Consistency OM Part 29 (OM Part 29 is an American Society of Mechanical Engineers Operation and Maintenance Standard)
- FLEX1 Equipment Performance Data Acquisition
- BWROG Emergency Procedure/Severe Accident Guidelines, Revision 4 Changes
- Anchor Darling Double Disc Gate Valve Wedge Pin Failures 1 FLEX is not an acronym, but refers to the industrys response to Order EA-12-049, which it has named Diverse and Flexible Coping Strategies (FLEX)

Agreements reached at the meeting were:
- The BWROG agreed to provide updated TSTF scheduling information to the NRC in the September/October time frame, and
- the BWROG agreed to look into including 3-Stage Target Rock safety relief valves in a performance evaluation and improvement program, in addition to the 2-Stage design which is currently the subject of a performance improvement program.
No comments or questions were received during the meeting by members of the public.
