Clarification regarding response to Apparent Violation
-Inspection Report No. 03035988/2018001 (DNMS); EA-18-069 As a follow up to our recent telephone conversation, I am at this time providing the additional information requested in regards to the above referenced matter.
- We reviewed both safety and security protocols with all authorized users during our training of April 20th. We have again reviewed this information with all users on August 20th, and will incorporate this information into our annual refresher training which is typically conducted between the months of January-March. The date for our annual refresher training has yet to be determined for 2019, but will be conducted within the first quarter.
- Location audits began on April 11th, and continue to be conducted at random throughout the year. I have conducted our first quarterly review of the findings from these audits with Ms. Nesmeyer (RSO) on August 20th. Additionally on August 23'd, Ms. Nesmyer and myself conducted our first full review (audit) of our Radiation Safety Program. Findings from all of audits (quarterly and annual) are on file within our program documentation, and available upon request.
