Dear Mr. Dapas:
American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO) hereby requests termination of the NRC materials license for the American Centrifuge Lead Cascade Facility (Lead Cascade). On January 5, 2018 (Reference 1), ACO submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) a Decommissioning Plan (DP) for the Lead Cascade.
On August 7, 2018, NRC issued an amendment to the Lead Cascade materials license (Reference 2) approving the DP.
All decommissioning activities have been completed as described in the DP.
All NRC regulated material has been disposed of at an approved U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) classified burial site or transferred to DOE. Enclosure 1 provides the YOO inventory report from the Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System {NMMSS).
YOO is the Reporting Identification Symbol within NMMSS identifying nuclear materials in ACO's possession under the Lead Cascade materials license. This inventory report reflects that there is no nuclear material in ACO's possessio1,1 under the Lead Cascade NRC materials license. In accordance with the guidance provided by the DOE, Enclosure 1 contains Official Use Only information and ACO requests this enclosure be withheld from public disclosure per 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 2.390(d)(l).
