[External_Sender] Holtec comment I am writing to say I am officially opposed to the proposed Holtec facility. I grew up in New Mexico and have studied the issues surrounding nuclear waste for many years. It is a gross misuse of resources t attempt to foist the disposal of dangerous nuclear material in a facility that will almost certainly be compromised in its lifetime.
People living in New Mexico a thousand years from now should not have to fix our mistakes. I love New Mexico and fully believe that this state could be a world leader in energy production through solar and wind, and to see that potential wasted so the nuclear energy/weapons industries enrich themselves at the expense of people and the planet is unacceptable.
