Dear NRC,
I do not consent to storage of high level radioactive waste in New Mexico.
I oppose the transport of "spent fuel" across the country by rail.
I submit the following for scoping comments for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS):
- 1) More alternatives must be analyzed and considered
- 2) All transportation routes and risks must be analyzed and made public
- 3) More public meetings should be held along transport routes
- 4) Impacts of permanent storage must be analyzed
- 5) Cumulative impacts must be analyzed
- 6) Exposure risks to individuals must be analyzed
- 7) Cracked and leaking canisters must be addressed
- 8) Holtec must remove all redactions from their Environmental Report
- 9) A thorough Environmental Justice Analysis must be included.
