MANDATORY HEARING TO CONSIDER THE APPLICATION OF TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY FOR AN EARLY SITE Annette L. Vietti-Cook PERMIT FOR THE CLINCH RIVER NUCLEAR SITE, DOCKET NO.52-047 The Notice of Hearing in this matter published in the Federal Register at 82 Fed. Reg. 16436 (April 4, 2017) indicates that either the Commission or an Atomic Safety and Licensing Board will conduct a hearing to consider the application submitted by Tennessee Valley Authority for an early site permit for a site to be located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The Commission delegated the authority to conduct a mandatory hearing for the early site permit application for Docket 52-047 to the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel last year (June 22, 2017; ML17173A261 ).
The Commission has now determined to conduct the mandatory hearing itself. Therefore, the authority previously delegated to the ASLBP in the June 22, 2017, memorandum is hereby rescinded.
