APPOINTMENT AS CHAIRMAN OF THE v~ _~

LICENSING SUPPORT NETWORK ADVISORY REVIEW PANEL (LSNARP)

On August 21, 2018, Dr. Andrew L. Bates resigned as Chairman of the Licensing Support Network Advisory Review Panel (LSNARP). In accordance with 10 C.F.R. 2.1011(d), I hereby appoint you to fill this position and serve as Chairman of the LSNARP, effective immediately.

You will be working closely with the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel (ASLBP) and LSNARP member-representatives. I appreciate your willingness to accept this position.

This is to inform you that I am resigning from the Chairmanship of the Licensing Support Network Advisory Review Panel (LSNARP) effective August 21 , 2018.

It has been an honor to have served as Chairman of the panel since 2000 and I look forward to seeing the decisions the Commission makes should funding for the High-Level Waste Proceeding become available through future Congressional appropriations.

It has been a pleasure working with the dedicated SECY, ASLBP, and OCIO staff who over the years have put long hours into supporting the Commission.
