1 u ~A, ln accordance with 10 CFR 50.30, Florida Power 6 Light Company submits herewith three (3) signed original's and forty (40) copies of a request to amend Appendix A of Facility Operating Licenses DPR-31 and DPR-41.

This proposal is being submitted to satisfy the commit-ment made in our letter L-76-335 of September 20, 1976.

The proposed changes are described below and shown on the accompanying Technical Specification pages bearing the date of this letter in the lower right hand corner.

Pa e 4.14-1 New Specification 4.14 is added to define surveillance requirements for secondary water chemistry; Pa e B4.14-1 A new Bases section is added in support of Specification 4.14.

The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the Turkey Point Plant Nuclear Safety Committee and the Florida Power 6

To assure that a program is in effect to maintain secondary water chemistry parameters within appropriate limits.

B4.14 BASES FOR SECONDARY WATER CHEMISTRY SURVEILLANCE A chemistry control program is useful in limiting, the accumulation of impurities in steam generators.

The limits on secondary water chemistry parameters are specified by procedure because chemistry guidelines are, variable and subject to revision in accordance with recommendations from the steam system supplier.

Chemistry data and records are maintained at the plant site and are available for regulatory review.
