Dear Idr. Gardner:
On October 22, 1971, after reviewing the Company's application, and after a public hearing pursuant to notice held in the City of Miami October 13,
- 1971, the State of Florida Department of Pollution Control furnished Florida Power E; Light Company with
.certification pursuant to Section 21(b) of the 1970 Federal Water Pollution Control Act (PL 91-224) for waste water dis-charges from Turkey Point Units 1, 2, 3 and 4 and the asso-ciated cooling system.
We are pleased to confirm that our certification. made October 22, 1971 constituted our certification under Section 21(b) of the 1970 Federal Water Pollution Control Act (PL 91-224) that there is reasonable assurance that the construction and oper-ation of Turkey Point Units 1, 2, 3 and 4 and the associated cooling system will be conducted in a manner which will not violate applicable water quality standards.
