Dear Mr. Muller:
Florida Power E Light Company (FPL requests that a waiver be issued regarding the requirement of the Environmental Technical Specifications (Appendix B to Facility Operating Licenses DPR-31 and DPR-41) that a Semi-annual Environmental Monitoring Report be submitted within 60 days after July 1, 1973 (Specification 5.0-4.a).
The data which would have been included in the report would be included in the Environmental Monitoring Report to be submitted for the period ending January 1, 1974.
The period prior to July 1, 1973, during which the Appendix B Environmental Technical Specifications were in effect represents only a'small portion of the six month reporting period provided for these Monitoring Reports and is not sufficiently long to enable meaningful analysis of the data.
The required programs were promptly implemented and will be reported and analyzed in the January 1974 Monitoring Report.
Your cooperation in this matter and timely action will be greatly appreciated.
