Thank you for your letter of August 7, 2018, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) from the Nuclear Utility Group on Equipment Qualification (NUGEQ) titled, Follow-Up Regarding July 31, 2018, Public Meeting Related to the Discussion of Nuclear Utility Group on Equipment Qualification (NUGEQ) Comment Letter of June 29, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18220A820).
I appreciate your continued engagement with the agency on this topic. We are currently evaluating the comments from your letter dated June 29, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18199A080), and we plan to consider your additional comments as well. To date, we have extracted 61 comments for resolution from your June 29 letter, and we will consider them as we update the Environmental Qualification (EQ) Inspection Questions and Answers (Q&A) document. The NRC plans to continue to meet with you as well as other stakeholders regarding the Q&As and EQ inspections.
