- Pat, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), in consultation with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), has performed an initial review of your submittal dated July 5, 2018, GLE-2018-0043, entitled Reaccreditation of Global Laser Enrichment LLC (GLE) Program Cyber Security Plan (ML18193A983 - Non-Public) and the related enclosures. The submittal has been accepted for a detailed review. Your request has been assigned Cost Activity Code (CAC) Number 000225/07007016/L-2018-SPR-0002. Please reference this number in any future correspondence associated with this review.
Please note that the complete review of this submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by January 3, 2019. We anticipated that the review can be completed within 30 staff hours (some of which will be billed by DOE as an NRC contractor for review of cyber security issues). This date and the estimate of staff hours could change depending on the findings of our technical review, the need for extensive requests for additional information, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to you as they become known.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System component of the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
