~g Your letter of July 26, 1976 to Mr. Z. A. Tillinghast, requested that we review our participation to date in the Nuclear Plant Reliability Data System (NPRDS3 and inform you if and when we will.become a fully participating member.
Our efforts for the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant for the past twenty months have primarily been directed towards making Unit gl a safe and reliable nuclear plant and fulfilling the commitments of the license.
We fully intend to be a participating member of NPRDS.
Our initial input into the system was in April 1976, which was made without the benefit of the NPRD Edit System, and several errors resulted.
We subsequently installed the NPRD Edit System in our computer on June ll, 1976.
We have identified the systems and included components which we intend to enter into the NPRD System.
At the plant level, we have established a coordinator for the input into NPRDS and have assigned areas of responsibility for preparing the base line data and for the generation of failure reports.
At the corporate level, we have assigned a coordinator to assist the plant in the preparation of the required forms and to assist in gathering engineering information.
We are obtaining additional personnel at the plant whose primary responsibility will-be to work on inputs to NPRD.
