A thirty day extension is hereby requested for the surveillance interval required by Technical Specification 4.7.8.1.3 for the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 1.
This specification concerns the functional testing of the hydraulics snubbers which must be performed while the reactor is shut-down.
At present, the next surveillance test is due on or before March 24, 1978.
A thirty day extenstion of this deadline is re'quested so that we might have flexibilityin scheduling the refueling outage to begin in late March or early April.
