This is to confirm our telephone call to Hr. R. 'l<arnick, NRC Region III, at 1600 hours0.0185 days <br />0.444 hours <br />0.00265 weeks <br />6.088e-4 months <br /> on July 27, 1977.

During this conversation we reported that an abnormal environmental occurrence had taken place at 0930 hours0.0108 days <br />0.258 hours <br />0.00154 weeks <br />3.53865e-4 months <br /> on July 27, 1977, when the chlorine residual at the circulating water discharge exceeded 0.10 ppm for a ten minute period. During this ten minute interval the chlorine residual was 0. 10 - 0. 12 ppm which violates Appendix B Technical Specifications Section 2.2. 1.2.

A complete report of this event will be submitted by August 3, 1977.
