[External_Sender] Docket I.D. #NRC-2018-0052 Greetings:
I write regarding Docket I.D. #NRC-2018-0052.
Thousands of highly-qualified people have written to you in opposition to the "temporary" storage of 173,600 metric tons of highly radioactive waste in southeastern New Mexico. I do not possess all their technical expertise.
However, I am an open-minded common-sense American who knows that these lands that are occupied by Hispanic communities today were originally the home of the Mescalero Apache and Comanche native American tribes who have significant historic and spiritual connections to them. They do not represent a wasteland that should carelessly be made radioactive for a time span in the order of one million years. They are as precious to those individuals and groups as the Trump Tower is to the current president.
Please DO NOT allow these lands to be used for the storage or disposition of radioactive waste.
