(Concho) is an oil and gas producer operating in the Permian Basin of New Mexico and Texas through its subsidiaries, COG Operating LLC and COG Production LLC. It holds substantial interests in oil and gas leases in Southeast New Mexico and operates more than 4,000 wells in Southeast New Mexico. Concho thanks you for the opportunity to provide comments during the scoping process for the preparation of an. Environmental Impact Study to consider the potential impacts from the proposed interim' -~otage* faciiity for nuclear waste. We currently hold interests in leases allowing for the development-of oil-and gas from below and adjacent to the area proposed for the storage site. We anticipate drilling and fracking one or more horizontal laterals below the site in the future to develop oil ~d _gas!. In addition there will be wells on adjacent acreage. We are looking forward to understanding the potential impacts, if any, of the proposed storage site on our development plans.
