COMMENT (232)

PUBLICATION DATE: 3/30/2018 CITATION# 83 FR 13802 As a citizen who lives near one of the nation's nuclear plants in Seabrook. NH, it concerns me deeply to think about hundreds of thousands of tons of nuclear waste being moved around the country and placed "temporarily" in sensitive lands near vulnerable low-income and minority populations in New Mexico. While it troubles me to think of waste sitting at more than 100 sites around the country, from all that I've read, the CISFP proposed by Holtec is not a viable solution.

I urge the NRC and the nuclear industry to keep working towards safer means of storage, including deep underground in locations deemed seismically appropriate.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely, Natalie Treat 39 True Rd Salisbury MA 01952
