Dear Administrative Judges,
In its Partial Initial Decision issued December 6, 2016, the Board directed the NRC Staff to submit bi-monthly status reports updating the Board and parties as to the status of the Staff's curative actions in response to the Board's resolution of Contention 1 2B. In its January 17, 2017 letter to the Board 1 and in the January 18, 2017 teleconference, 2 the Staff informed the Board and parties that the Staff has decided to suspend work related to Contention 1 2B until the Commission has ruled on all pending appeals. Consistent with those representations, there have been no significant curative activities in June or July 2018. In accordance with the Board's mandate, the Staff will continue to submit bi-monthly status reports unless otherwise directed by the Board
.
