July 20, 2018 Enclosed is an application (XSOU8848), dated July 5, 2018, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from Louisiana Energy Services, u:.c for the export of 2000 kilograms per calendar year of natural uranium in the form of uranium hexafluoride heels. URENCO USA intends to return the emptied* natural cylinders to Ca~eco for reuse.
Assurances from Canada that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation, are required. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
Please note that the material is of Australian, Canadian, and EURATOM origin. Thus it has Australian, Canadian and EURATOM obligations.
