SUBJECT:

REQUEST FOR CONSENT TO DIRECT LICENSE TRANSFER

Dear Dr. Hoenicke:

By letter dated April 11, 2018, Otsego Memorial Hospital, now Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital, submitted to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRG) a Request for Consent to Direct License Transfer of NRG Materials Licenses issued to ProMedica Health System, Inc. The affected license noted in that letter was License No. 21-24363-01.

Based on the information provided, we understand that as a result of the agreement of Otsego Memorial Hospital, now Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital, transferred control to Munson Healthcare as of June 1, 2018. We further understand that this transfer will not result in any changes to licensed materials, persons using the license material, location of use of licensed material, or persons responsible for the licensee's radiation safety program. Based on the above understandings and as more fully detailed in the enclosed NRG staff's Safety Evaluation Report which documents the NRG staff's review of the request, the NRG consents to the proposed direct transfer of control. The NRG was notified by letter dated June 1, 2018 (ML 18155A582), that the transaction had been finalized as of June 1, 2018 and include a signed copy of the final agreement confirming completion of the transaction.

With this information, we are issuing an administrative amendment, including requested name change, to your NRG license to reflect the transaction.

Please contact Daniel C. Strohmeyer at 630-829-9689, or by e-mail at Daniel.Strohmeyer@nrc.gov if you have any questions regarding this letter. The NRC's Safety Culture Policy Statement became effective in June 2011. While a policy statement and not a regulation, it sets forth the agency's expectations for individuals and organizations to establish and maintain a positive safety culture. You can access the policy statement and supporting material that may benefit your organization on NRC's safety culture Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/about-nrc/regulatory/enforcement/safety-culture.html.

We strongly encourage you to review this material and adapt it to your particular needs in order to develop and maintain a positive safety culture as you engage in NRG-regulated activities.

R. Hoenicke In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
