WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, CONSENT TO TRANSFER LICENSE, MAIL CONTROL NO. 608465
Dear Mr. Hatfield:
By the letter dated April 13, 2018, Hospital Management Associates, LLC requested written consent from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to a direct transfer of control of NRC Materials License No. 47-25358-01.
Hospital Management Associates, LLC owns 95.84% of the membership interests in Williamson Memorial Hospital, LLC, the holder of NRC License No. 47-25358-01.
Based on the information Hospital Management Associates, LLC provided, we understand that the transfer resulted from the sale of Hospital Management Associates, LLC's 95.84% membership interests to Mingo Health Partners, LLC. As a result of the sale, Mingo Health Partners, LLC controls the majority interest in Williamson Memorial Hospital, LLC. We further understand that this transfer did not result in any change to the location of use, materials, persons using licensed material, or persons responsible for radiation safety at the licensed facility.
This was a request for post-hoc approval of a direct license transfer that occurred on June 1, 2018, without receiving written consent from the Commission.
Failure to receive written consent prior to a direct license transfer is contrary to the requirements of Section 184 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 and 10 CFR 30.34(b)(1).
As more fully detailed in the enclosed NRC staff's Safety Evaluation Report, which documents the NRC staff's safety review of the request, the NRC consents to the direct transfer of control of NRC Materials License No. 47-25358-01.
Please note that since the transaction occurred on June 1, 2018, no other action is required.
