Dear Mr. Borges,
Thank you for contacting the Seminole Tribe of Florida - Tribal Historic Preservation Office (STOF-THPO) regarding the NRC Turkey Point Request for Scoping Comments Concerning the Environmental Review of Turkey Point Nuclear Plant, Units 3 and 4 Subsequent License Renewal Application, Miami-Dade County FL.
The letter was received on May 29th, 2018 and the proposed undertaking does fall within in the STOF Area of Interest. We have reviewed the documents provided pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and its implementing authority, 36 CFR 800. We have no comments regarding license renewal at this time.
2 However, we would like to make the Nuclear Regulatory Commission aware that we are still in consultation with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Jacksonville District regarding the permit for the proposed transmission lines for this facility.
