PUBLIC CATEGORY 3 MEETING TO DISCUSS NRC ACTIVITIES, AND 2017 END-OF-CYCLE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION
Dear Mr. Bezilla:
This letter is to inform you that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will conduct a Category 3 public meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. (EDT) on June 26, 2018, at the Camp Perry Conference Center, building 600, in Port Clinton, Ohio. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a public forum for the Agency to discuss NRC activities with the public and to present the Agencys assessment of Davis-Besses performance in 2017. Members of the NRC will be available to answer questions from the public and discuss the assessment of Davis-Besses performance.
The Agency will also use this forum to present in outline form our inspection program for the future to verify your continued safe operation of Davis-Besse, in response to FirstEnergy Solutions and FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Companys filing for bankruptcy under Chapter 11. The Agency invites you and your staff to attend, and participate in, this meeting.
