ASMEispleasedthattheNRCcontinuestorelyonourconsensusstandardstoreducetheamountofNRCresources necessarytoaddressvariouselementsinnuclearpowerplants.
RelativetotherecentrequestsfromNRC,ASMEagreestocontinuethepastpracticeofallowingtheNRCtoplaceaprint copyofallASMEmaterialsincorporatedbyreferenceintheNRC'sPublicDocumentRoom(PDR)forexaminationbyany memberofthepublic.Inaddition,tohelptheNRCsatisfyOfficeoftheFederalRegister(OFR)requirementsregarding agencyrequestsforapprovaltoincorporatebyreferenceintothecodeofFederalRegulationsmaterialsalready publishedelsewhere,wearewillingtoposttheASMEmaterialshownintheattachmenttoyouremailduringthepublic commentperiodfortheproposedruleinareadonlyelectronicaccessformat.
Tofacilitateourpreparations,NRCisrequestedtoinformASMEwhenthecommentperiodissettobeginand end.Uponreceivingthisinformation,wewillprovideawebaddressthatcanbeincorporatedintoyournotice.Asthe documentsarenumerous,andlengthy,wewouldappreciateasmuchleadtimeaspossible.
