VERIFICATION OF GE HITACHI TOPICAL REPORT NEDE-33005P-A, REVISION 2, TRACG APPLICATION FOR EMERGENCY CORE COOLING SYSTEMS / LOSS-OF-COOLANT ACCIDENT ANALYSES FOR BWR/2-6 (EPID L-2017-TOP-0036)

Dear Mr. Head:

By letter dated May 22, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18143A217), GE Hitachi (GEH) Nuclear Energy submitted Topical Report (TR) NEDE-33005P-A, Revision 2, TRACG Application for Emergency Core Cooling Systems / Loss-of-Coolant-Accident Analyses for BWR/2-6, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff. GEH has done so in accordance with our request to publish an approved version of this TR, as detailed in the transmittal letter of the NRC staffs final safety evaluation (SE) (ADAMS Accession No. ML18129A024) of the GEH July 7, 2017, submittal entitled Satisfaction of Limitation 10.7 for NEDE-33005P, Revision 0, Licensing Topical Report TRACG Application for Emergency Core Cooling Systems / Loss-of-Coolant-Accident Analyses for BWR/2-6 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17188A085).

The NRC staff has completed its review of NEDE-33005P-A, Revision 2. The NRC staff verified that GEH has met the requirements and determined that the submitted -A, Revision 2, is acceptable for referencing in licensing applications for nuclear power plants to the extent specified and under the limitations delineated in the TR.

TR NEDE-33005P-A, Revision 2, TRACG Application for Emergency Core Cooling Systems /

Loss-of-Coolant-Accident Analyses for BWR/2-6, is now approved for use in future licensing actions as specified in the final SE.
