FEMA FINDINGS DURING THE SURRY NUCLEAR POWER STATION EXERCISE CONDUCTED AUGUST 27-29, 1991 The Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) evaluation of the Surry Power St.ation Exercise conducted August 27:-29, 1991, which was transmitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regional Office on August 12, 1992, revealed sixty-five Areaf!
Requiring Corrective Actions (ARCAs).
These ARCAs are discussed fully in the enclosed FEMA Repo*rt.
We encourage you to assist the Comonwealth and local agencies in the resolution of these ARCAs.
Correction of these items should be completed prior -to the next full-scale emergency exercise.
We also encourage you to work closely with the Commonwealth and counties in the development of a scenario for the next full-scale exercise that will effectively test the areas in-which the above items were identified.
