RESPONSE TO NRC BULLETIN 88-11 "PRESSURIZER SURGE LINE THERMAL STRATIFICATION" - SURRY POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, AND NORTH ANNA POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. M72172, M72173, M72146, M72147)
As required by NRC Bulletin 88-11, "Pressurizer Surge Line Thermal St rat ifi cation," you responded to the Bull et in and described the p 1 ant-specific commitments for the Surry Power Station in letters dated May 3 and November 13, 1989; and-the North Anna Power Station in letters dated April 28, May 3, July 5, and August 17, 1989.
In a letter dated August 8, 1991, the NRC requested confirmation that actions addressing Bulletin 88-11 proposed by you were complete.
In a September 12, 1991 letter, you responded to the NRC request and further summarized your plant-specific inspections and analyses, and concluded that the results were in full compliance with the Bulletin.
The staff has reviewed your September 12, 1991 response, and concludes that you have adequately addressed the Bulletin.
The results, as you stated, are acceptable.
As required by the Bulletin, all supporting documentation and analyses should be appropriately retained for possible future audits.
This completes our effort for TAC Nos. M72172, M72173, M72146, M72147.
