VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY RICHMOND, VIRGINIA 23261 August 14, 1991 United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention: Document Control Desk Washington, D. C. 20555 Gentlemen:
VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNIT 1 INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL OF SUBMITTED RELIEF REQUEST Serial No.91-426 NURPC Docket No.
50-280 License No. DPR-32 In our letter (Serial No.88-430) dated July 7, 1988, Virginia Electric and Power Company requested relief from the ASME Section XI flow instrument accuracy requirement for the Inside Recirculation Spray Pumps, 1-RS-P-1 A and 1 B, at Surry Power Station Unit 1. The accuracy requirement could not be met at that time because of the test loop piping configuration that existed then. The test loop was modified during the subsequent refueling outage in order to support ASME Section XI testing requirements. Accordingly, we withdraw the relief request specified in our July 7, 1988 letter. Should you have any questions or require further information, please contact us.
jry truly yours,
/
