SURRY UNITS 1 AND 2 - BULLETIN 88-09, THIMBLE TUBE THINNING (TAC NOS. 72686 AND 72687)

By letters dated January 18 and July 8, 1991, you confirmed that a thimble tube inspection program which meets the guidelines of Bulletin 88-09 has been implemented and maintained at the Surry Power Station, Units 1 and 2.

Based on your responses, the staff considers implementation of the above inspection program to be fully responsive to the actions described in Bulletin 88-09.

With this letter, we are closing out TAC Nos. 72686 and 72687.
