REGIONAL REVIEW OF LICENSEE CORRECTIVE ACTIONS The purpose of this letter is to advise you of a change in Regional procedures for review of your response to Notice(s) of Violation.
10 CFR 2.201 requires that in response to Notice(s) of Violation, litensees describe corrective steps that have been taken and results achieved, corr~ctive steps that will be taken to avoid further violations, and the date when full compliance will be achieved.* The Region carefully reviews such responses to determine if th~ torrective action is adequate and comprehensive.and that the response addresses the underlying cause of the problem.
It has been Region II 1s practice to formally advise you of the acceptability of your response.*
Effective.January 1, 1991, the/ Region will no longer acknowledge responses which are acceptable.
We will continue to correspond with you in those cases in which i~formation is omitted, clarifications are needed, or where you deny or take issue with the violation.
No ~esponse to this letter is required.
