DPR-32 Surry Unit 1 recently completed inservice inspection of the "B and "C" steam generators during the 1990 refueling outage.
As required by the provisions of paragraph 4.19(F)(a) of Surry Technical Specifications, this letter provides notification of the tubes that were plugged during this inspection.
For steam generator "B", no tubes were plugged as a result of the inservice inspection.
However, two tubes previously plugged were replugged (R11, C14 and R33, C43) in response to NRC Bulletin 89-01 concerns.
For steam generator "C", two tubes (R10, C53 and R25, C57) were removed to destructively examine anomalous eddy current indications.
The results of the
. examination indicated no operationally induced degradation of the tube wall. These two tubes were subsequently plugged. Also, two tubes previously plugged were replugged (R2, C7 and R40, C70) in response to NRC Bulletin 89-01 concerns.
