SURRY AND NORTH ANNA POWER STATIONS - ASME CODE INTERPRETATION AND RELIEF REQUEST PROCESS During a September 24, 1992 counterparts meeting in your Corporate Office in Richmond, Virginia, one of the issues discussed was your interpretation of the ASME Code.
During that meeting, the NRC staff indicated that we would further review your policy in the area of Code interpretation and the relief request process and would address this issue in a future correspondence to you.
The staff's position regarding your interpretation of the ASME Section XI and the relief request process is enclosed.
