INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-280/95-99 AND 50-281/95-99 On February 13, 1995, you transmitted the results of the NRC's Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) for Surry Power Station for the period of July 4, 1993, through January 21, 1995. Your assessment concluded that Surry's performance was superior in three of the functional areas:
Plant Operations, Engineering, and Plant Support. The Maintenance functional area was assessed as good.
We have reviewed the SALP report in detail. Your recognition of the overall high level of performance achieved at Surry Power Station is appreciated. We also appreciate the opportunity to have met with you on March 9, 1995 to discuss the results of the assessment along with our continuing efforts to improve.
We are committed to ensuring nuclear safety in every facet of our nuclear operations by striving to achieve a high level of performance in each category evaluated by the SALP process.
