SURRY POWER STATION, UNIT 1 - SECOND 10-YEAR INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM RELIEF REQUEST NO. RR-020 (TAC NO. M89437)
Dear Mr. O'Hanlon:
We, with technical assistance from the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL), have completed our evaluation of the information provided by Virginia Electric and Power Company's submittal dated April 29, 1994, as supplemented July 25, 1994.
Our evaluation and conclusions are contained in attachment 1, the Safety Evaluation.
Based on the information submitted, we adopt our contactor's conclusions and recommendations presented in atta~hment 2, the Technical Evaluation Letter Report.
The subject relief request for volumetric examination of Class 1 and 2 welds is granted pursuant to 10 CFR Part 50.55a(g)(6)(i) as the Code requirements are impractical.
This concludes our effort on this issue and we are, therefore, closing out TAC No. M89437.
