SUBJECT:
REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM INSPECTION - REPORT NO. 50-280/94-20
In a telephone conversation on August 30, 1994, Harold McCallum, Supervisor
Nuclear Training, and Ronald F. Aiello, License Examiner, Region II Operator
Licensing Section, made arrangements for the NRC to inspect the licensed
operator requalification program at the Surry Nuclear Power Plant.
The
inspection is planned for your regularly scheduled requalification examination
cycle beginning the week of October 3, 1994.
The staff at your facility
should prepare and conduct the requalification examinations in accordance with
your NRC-approved requalification program.
In accordance with 10 CFR 55.59(c), the NRC may request facility licensees to
submit their comprehensive requalification written examinations or annual
operating tests as necessary to support the NRC's inspection program needs.
In order for the NRC to adequately prepare for this inspection, please furnish
the written examinations and operating tests scheduled for the week of the
inspection to the NRC by September 19, 1994.
The request for requalification examination material is covered by Office of
Management and Budget (0MB) Clearance Number 3150-0101, which expires on
October 31, 1995.
The estimated average burden is 4.0 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br /> per response,
including gathering, copying, and mailing the required material. Send
comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspect of this collection
of information, including suggestions fof reducing this burden, to the
