ANNUAL EMERGENCY EXERCISE SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 21, 1994 In accordance with the recent changes to the inspection guidance for the evaluation of exercises for power reactors, we are not planning a Regional based team evaluation of your non-FEMA-observed exercise this year.
Portions of this exercise may be observed by the Resident Inspector. Accordingly, there is no requirement to submit your exercise scope and objectives and scenario packages to us for review.
The above documents will be subject to review during routine or special emergency preparedness-inspections.
The above information is provided to assist you in your exercise planning.
Other circumstances (e.g., management concerns, actual events, or allegations) could result in our observing your exercise with more than the Resi~ent Inspector staff. Should this occur, we will coordinate with your staff for receipt of the exercise scenario documentation at-a 1 ater date.
Should you have questions conterning this matter, we will be glad to discuss them with you.
