SUMMARY
OF MANAGEMENT ACTIONS COMPLETED TO IMPROVE THE FFD PROGRAM 7/1/93 THROUGH 12/31/93 Onsite screenings are now being performed by Company employees rather than contractor personnel. This action is expected to produce a significant decrease in testing costs. The hiring of Virginia Electric and Power Company supervision to oversee the onsite testing facilities brings an added level of expertise to the program, and allows better communication between these facilities and department management.
During the annual Quality Assurance FFD audit, the positive results checklist being used by the Medical Review Officer was identified as a strength in the program. This checklist standardizes the format for notes and ensures that important dates are recorded consistently and systematically.
A training program was developed and implemented for FFD technicians.
