DISCUSSION OF PRESSURE LOCKING AND THERMAL BINDING OF POWER-OPERATED GATE VALVES (GENERIC LETTER 95-07)
I am extending an invitation to power reactor licensees in Region II to participate with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and Region II representatives in a discussion of Generic Letter (GL) 95-07, "Pressure Locking and Thermal Binding of Safety-Related Power-Operated Gate Valves."
The NRC staff will discuss technical positions, previous findings, examples, and NRC expectations for programs addressing pressure locking and thermal binding.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 1995, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Richard B. Russell Federal Building, 75 Spring Street, S.W.,
Conference Room 802, Atlanta, Georgia. All licensee staff associated with the GL 95~07 program are invited to attend.
To make this meeting as productive as possible, please provide a preliminary list of questions/issues to Milton Shymlock and indicate your intention to attend by October 20, 1995.
Your questions and issues will form the basis for additional discussions.
