SUMMARY

OF MANAGEMENT ACTIONS COMPLETED TO IMPROVE THE FFD PROGRAM 1/1/95 THROUGH 6/30/95 The Fitness for Duty module of the Nuclear Human Resource System (NHRS) was implemented in January. NHRS is an integrated computer system that provides a working interface between Centralized In-Processing, Nuclear Training, Nuclear Security, Fitness for Duty, and Employee Health Services. The system maintains complete data files for control of the FFD process from scheduling of testing appointments through the entry of final test results.

The system also provides generation of the reports required by management and regulatory agencies.

SUMMARY

OF EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NRC BY VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY 1/1/95 THROUGH 6/30/95 A contractor supervisor tested positive for an illegal drug. On January 13, 1995, 24-hour notification was made to the NRC Operations Center in accordance with 10 CFR 26.73.

In a letter dated March 31, 1995, the NRC identified an allegation (Rll-94-A-0218) concerning for-cause testing.

Virginia Electric and Power Company provided its response in a letter (Serial No.95-175) dated May 23, 1995.
